Elisa Rossholm x Jolin Prints
Elisa Rossholm is a Stockholm based illustrator and graphic novel artist. In her image creation, she works with pencil, ink and collage techniques, among other things. She has published several books and exhibited her works in various contexts.
With her first collection for Jolin Prints she has illustrated four iconic places in Stockholm. Today those places are hectic and intense, but Elisas images takes you back to a time where life was not as fast paced.
"I'm inspired by stories and by anything that creates shapes: nature, shadows, buildings"

"Sketching and drawing has always been a part of me"
There is something about the line and the movement of the hand that calms and conceptualizes. Drawing is a way to create life.
"I want the whole art process to be hand painted"
In my graphic novels, I have mainly worked with pencil and collage, but the pictures in this collection are made in ink.
I wanted to draw the city I grew up in, but in a time long before mine. When the turn-of-the-century houses were new and people might feel that they were moving in to a new time.
